The Medusa Play

Meddie is a young, Black actress striving for greatness. After a three-year drought, she is cast… in a devised play… about Medusa… with a nearly all-white ensemble. Will this well-intentioned Collective help her resolve the contradictions at her core? “The Medusa Play” takes us from the rehearsal room to Medusa’s Cave, all the while exploring questions of creative responsibility, double-consciousness, and Black artistic identity.
