Award Winning Drama at The Stagecrafters: Christopher is a mathematically talented teen who knows every prime number up to 7,057, detests the color yellow, and prefers the company of animals over humans. His mind allows him to see the world in a way that is detailed, logical, and deeply (sometimes uncomfortably) honest. When Christopher discovers that his neighbor’s dog has been killed, he decides that he must be the detective who solves the murder. This decision leads to discoveries that turn his world upside down, drawing him beyond the boundaries of his carefully ordered life and into an unfamiliar, overwhelming world. At its heart, this powerful play is a celebration of courage, curiosity, and what it means to navigate a world that isn’t always designed with everyone in mind. The play premiered at London’s Royal National Theatre in 2012; it won the Olivier Award in 2013 for Best New Play and five Tony Awards in 2015 including Best Play and Best Actor.
