History in 50 Minutes.
“The American Revolution” combines tongue-in-cheek humor with a dash of derring-do to evoke an epic time period in our nation’s history. “The American Revolution” blends imaginative physical theater with history to create an unforgettable, delightful experience. Seven actors fuse unique staging, physical comedy, and tongue-in-cheek humor to offer a comprehensive, historical experience. The signature of Theater Unspeakable’s work is telling big stories in small spaces. Just two feet off the ground, seven performers share 21 square feet of space to recreate the American fight for independence from Lexington to Yorktown. Actors use their bodies, voices, and (pantomimed) cannons to reenact a critical period in American history. The show returns to the heart of Historic Philadelphia at the Christ Church Neighborhood House, located in the heart of Historic Philadelphia.
