"Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley" (written 2017), a sequel to Jane Austen’s "Pride and Prejudice" (written 1813), takes place two years after the novel ends. It focuses on Mary Bennet (the middle sister of the five in Austen’s novel), the bookish piano player and loner, whom the family have always deemed to be graceless and unmarriageable. In this sequel Mary is a guest of her older sister Elizabeth and her husband Mr. Darcy on their magnificent estate, Pemberley, where members of their respective families gather for Christmas. It is during this Christmas visit to Pemberley that Mary, most unexpectedly, meets someone whom she finds to be a kindred spirit and who in turn finds her not just interesting, but plainly irresistible.
