SEX, MORTAL SIN, THE HOT BODY OF CHRIST, COSMIC BOWLING!
Do you also find Jesus’ naked body on the cross super sexy? We dive into that and much more such as: losing our virginity in the most holy way, the "A" word (ABORTION), cosmic bowling experiences leading to impure behavior, and the list goes on…
Blending stand-up, improv, and your sinful audience participation, Catholic Guilt examines the power of religion and the affect it can have on one's psyche.
Catholic Guilt was first performed and developed as part of the 2016 Philadelphia SoloFest. It was featured in The Wilma Theater Crush Series, and had two sold out runs when featured in the 2018 and 2020 Philadelphia Theater Week. Catholic Guilt was last performed at Arcade Comedy in Pittsburgh, PA, and has plans to go to NYC and beyond.
In Catholic Guilt, Kelly McCaughan sheds light on the many hypocrisies and contradictions of the Catholic Church. Through audience participation and cringy personal recounts, she exposes the impossible standards and damaging practices that can send one into deep Catholic Guilt. All souls and religions welcome. *FOR MATURE AUDIENCES*
