As many of us make our return to in-person theatre this year, we know we’re not the only ones excited to see our fellow community members face-to-face again! Here are some of the industry events during Philly Theatre Week 2022 to reunite with old friends, make new connections, and learn something new!

Interested in creating more sustainable theater but frustrated about how to start? Hate buying all your props and costumes from Amazon but aren't sure how else to keep budgets down? So do the folx on the Resource Sharing Committee, a volunteer group of Philly theater artists who work together to reduce waste, increase cross-company conversation, and create more avenues for sharing the community’s resources.
Join LMDA for a free Happy Hour, where you can learn more about the 2022 International Conference being held in Old City from July 20-24, 2022! Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
The return of live theatre also means the return of grant-writing, and LaNeshe Miller-White (Executive Director of Theatre in the X & Theatre Philadelphia) is here to help! The BTAP will teach the do’s and don’ts of grant writing, then host a networking event after with its Steering Committee and other participants.
Jacqueline Goldfinger, author of "Playwriting with Purpose" and "Writing Adaptations and Translations for the Stage" will be holding an online playwriting workshop focused on stage adaptation. Each workshop will be capped at 12 attendees, so reserve your spot now!
Duel Meaning is an interactive workshop for all artists who have wanted to create pieces portraying Theatrical Violence. All attendees will receive a workbook, access to live Q&A, and an entry in their raffle to win free tuition to our Summer Taste of Violence weekend workshop!
Temple Theaters is hosting a free event that champions theater created by people of color, LGBTQ+ and female identifying artists. This event will include workshops and representatives from the Philadelphia professional theater community, plus a luncheon!
