People’s Light is accepting video submissions from prospective understudies for our 2025-2026 season production of Twelfth Night, directed and adapted by Andrew Watring. Please read this entire posting and then fill out the audition form. Once we receive your form we will send you the instructions for submission within 1-2 business days. The deadline for video submissions is October 10th. Please only submit for one of the two below tracks.
Contract: Non-union / $600 weekly stipend / Housing and travel will not be provided

Two Understudy Coverage Tracks Available:
Sebastian / Feste
SEBASTIAN: 20s-30s, Black, he/him. Cunning, boisterous, and exceedingly charming. Singing ability is encouraged, but not required.
FESTE: 20s-30s, BIPOC, he/him. Wry, lithe, and facile, Feste moves adeptly between personalities with his sense of humor and sharp mind. Must sing and play an instrument - guitar is preferred, but we are open to other handheld acoustic instruments.
Sir Toby / Malvolio
SIR TOBY: 40s-60s, white, he/him. Drunk, playful, naughty. Singing ability is encouraged, but not required.
MALVOLIO: 40s-50s, white, he/him. Taut, exacting, with an eye towards constant improvement. Singing ability is encouraged, but not required.
