People’s Light will be having in-person auditions for understudies for our 2025-2026 Season production of A Christmas Carol, directed by Molly Rosa Houlahan, on Monday, September 8th from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

A Christmas Carol Rehearsal / Performance Schedule

First Rehearsal: 10/14/25

Designer Run: 11/7/25

Tech: 11/11/25-11/16/25

Photo Run: 11/16/25

Invited Dress: 11/18/25

Previews: 11/19/25-11/22/25

Open: 11/23/25

Close: 1/4/26

Understudy Roles Available: 

Emily Cratchit / Christmas Present / Mrs. Fezziwig 

Emily Cratchit: mid 30s-40s, any ethnicity, she/her. Warm, generous, fierce.

Christmas Present: timeless, any ethnicity, any pronouns. Gregarious, passionate, worldly.

Mrs. Fezziwig: mid 40s, any ethnicity, she/her. Festive, jolly, familial. 

Christmas Past / Martha Cratchit / Belle

Christmas Past: timeless, any ethnicity, any pronouns. Youthful, spritely, mischievous. 

Martha Cratchit: 20s, any ethnicity, she/her. On the cusp of adulthood, strong willed, kind. 

Belle: 20s, any ethnicity, she/her. Inquisitive, thoughtful, clear-headed.

Bob Cratchit / Mr. Fezziwig

Bob Cratchit: mid 30s-40s, any ethnicity, he/him. Kind, generous, devoted.  

Mr. Fezziwig: mid 40s, any ethnicity, he/him. Festive, jolly, familial.
