Ubuntu Young Artist Fellowship - Spring 2025

Theatre Philadelphia aims to increase our work with the next generation of artists transitioning into the Greater Philadelphia Theatre community. The Ubuntu Young Artist Fellowship is an opportunity for young emerging artists interested in learning, supporting, and creating more space for fostering community between theatres, fellow young artists, theatre community mentors, and theatergoers. This spring, three youth fellows enrolled in undergraduate theatre programs or recently graduated will be chosen to join Theatre Philadelphia and assist with the design and facilitation of our annual Philly Theatre Week!

Fellowship Details &  Eligibility Requirements 

• Deadline: January 2, 2025 by 5pm 
• Stipend: $1600  | Pay Rate 20hr/per month at $20hr 
• Fellowship Timeline:  February 2025- May 2025 
• Fellows will be sorted into the following sectors: Community Engagement, Social Media/PR, and Art Administration working directly with Theatre Philadelphia's Executive Director, and Director of Operations & Programs 
• Fellow Applicants must be enrolled in or a recent graduate (within the past year) of an undergrad theatre program within the Greater Philadelphia Area 
• Fellow Applicants should demonstrate experience, desired experience or dedication in one or more of the following: community organizing , social justice art activism, content creation, arts operations
• Fellow Applicants must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. 
  BIPOC undergrads theatre students strongly encouraged to apply

Selected Fellows Notified: January 22, 2025
Fellows Announced: February 1, 2025
