The National Theatre for Children is looking for local Philadelphia actors for our touring productions for the 2025-2026 school year. Tour details are as follows. We are hosting auditions at The Whole Shebang on Sunday, September 7th from 1-4pm.
- Tours are short contracts per season ranging from 4-12 weeks.
- Looking for actors for both local Philadelphia tours and on the road tours in other parts of the country.
- Actors must have a valid driver's license, be at least 21 years old, and be a non-equity actor.
- Tours have a one-week rehearsal process in either Philly or Minneapolis, MN.
- Pay is $315 for the rehearsal week and $500+/week once on the road.
- All shows are original, education comedies that teach important societal issues such as energy conservation, financial literacy, electrical safety, oral hygiene, etc.
- Tours are all two person tours. Actors share duties such as driving, load in/load out, light bookkeeping.
- Double occupancy housing is provided while on tour.
- Touring vehicle (either a sedan or mini van depending on the tour) is provided as well as all gas for the vehicle.
