WHO ARE WE?
We are the Burlington County Footlighters. We are a non-profit theater that seeks to encourage the appreciation of theater and other cultural programming through public presentations; to allow non-professionals a place to explore their creativity; to provide education in the arts for young people in the region; and to engage with our community through outreach and activities designed to further these goals.
Our Summer camp program is rapidly expanding to give more variety to the type of theater young people experience. We offer 2 sessions each summer, for two different age groups. Our 5-7 year old group (The Fledgelings) will be exploring story structure, character building, and the elements of theater by creating their own show for performance at the end of the program. Our 8-16 year old group (The Luminaries) will experience auditions, performance, and technical aspects of theater while putting together a 60-minute junior version of a well-known show.
