Description: Seagrass is seeking teaching artists / immersive actors to join us in creating meaningful theatrical experiences that explore how people relate to each other and respond to challenging circumstances. We're looking for collaborators who understand and are passionate about Drama in Education (D.I.E), Process Drama, Mantle of the Expert, and/or Theater of the Oppressed.
Duties: You will work with diverse audiences to create and facilitate immersive theatrical experiences called REALMS (Real Experiential Adaptive Learning Module) You'll participate in workshops, character development, collaborative creation, and bringing the realms to life.
Qualifications: Comfort with improvisation and character creation. Ability to work collaboratively and think on your feet. Willingness to do creative development work outside rehearsal. Commitment to the mission of creating transformative experiences. Teaching artists who have specific experience working with autistic students (ages 13 and up) are highly encouraged to apply as we have teamed up with the Hampton House to help their members get ready to tackle the workforce.
Timeline: Applications accepted immediately. Group improv calls will be scheduled based on submissions June 15. Callbacks to follow on June 17th.
