The Media Theatre in MEDIA, PA is seeking submissions for Stage Managers for their 2025- 2026 Youth Ensemble Series season. Please see the breakdown below for information. Local housing is not provided. The deadline to apply is Monday, July 28th. Seeking experienced Stage Managers who have worked with children previously. The Media Theatre requires all applicants to have their PA and Federal clearances up to date.
The Youth Ensemble Series at The Media Theatre is a brand new, refreshed program that began in 2020 and is excited to return again this fall. Performed entirely by youth actors ages 6 - 18, this series provides an opportunity for those involved to work with professional production staff, while presenting a quality product to audiences in Delaware County. The Stage Manager would enter the rehearsal process during tech week and would continue with the production through closing. Performances are typically 11:00 AM Saturdays and Sundays and 10:00 AM on Thursdays with a total of eight performances. Compensation is a stipend payment aligning with experience.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable leading a room of up to 35 students. The Stage Manager would be responsible for calling the hour-long Jr. production, collaborating with union crew members, communicating with parents, opening and closing the building, coordinating proper storage of props and costumes backstage.
