Theater Unspeakable and Let’s Make History Productions is seeking a Stage Manager for Fall 2025.
Theater Unspeakable is a devised, physical theater company based in Chicago with a proven track record of touring nationally and Let’s Make History Productions is dedicated to producing Theater Unspeakable’s show “The American Revolution”.
The Stage Manager will work in tandem with Marc Frost, the company’s Producing Artistic Director, to oversee the rehearsals and performances of “The American Revolution”. The Stage Manager will then be responsible for managing the show on a short tour to Arizona in Fall 2025.
The role will entail:
-attending and managing rehearsals on October 27 – November 4 (daytime eve’s, weekend afternoons)
-attending and running light board for the touring productions to Tuscon, AZ and Chandler, AZ (November 5-7)
-handling all Stage Manager-related business for the show including communicating with the actors, director and producer
-please note: This first contract of this tour will include rehearsals from October 27 – November 4 in the Philadelphia area with performances in Tuscon, AZ and Chandler, AZ (Nov 5-7). The second contract of this tour will include rehearsals from January 18-24, 2026 in the Philadelphia area with tours to 6-7 states from January through June of 2026.
The second contract for the Winter/Spring of 2026 will be more extensive: rehearsal dates, tour dates, and pay details to come. If selected, you are not obligated to sign both contracts. You may sign one or the other, or both.
Requirements:
-Stage Management experience
-Light board operator experience
This is a Contract position. The pay will be $740 plus $258 in travel per diems. The Fall 2025 contract position starts October 27th and the last day of work will be work will end on November 7, 2025. The person should be based in the Philadelphia area.
