EgoPo Classic Theater is looking for additional submissions for a few roles in it's upcoming season!

Rehearsals: October 7-22, Tues-Fri from 5-10p, Sat & Sun from 12-5pm

Popi’s Italian Restaurant, 3120 S 20th St, Philadelphia, PA 19145

This immersive staging of Odet’s Iconic piece about strikes and collective action in the 1930s will place the audience on the side of Harry Fatt as they feast on a premier Italian Banquet. The actors will engage and interact with the audience throughout the show creating a visceral and convicting experience. Just performing three nights in the banquet space of Popi’s restaurant, the show is likely to feature physically demanding repetitive tasks that may include continuous walking, running, biking, and serving drinks to the audience.

Roles we are accepting submissions for:

HARRY FATT: White Late early 50s-60s Cis Male. Confident. Charismatic and threatening. Well nourished in a time of deep poverty.  Available for AEA Special Appearance Tier 2 or non AEA contracts

DR BENJAMIN: Jewish 30s. male presenting. Good, hardworking doctor. principled and passionate. Non AEA.

Theatre Exile 1340-48 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 1914

Set in the backyard of a blue-collar neighborhood in South Philadelphia early in the summer of 1973, the comedy-drama focuses on the 21st birthday celebration of Harvard student Francis Geminiani. In attendance are his divorced father Fran and Fran's widowed girlfriend Lucille, next-door neighbor Bunny Weinberger and her overweight son Herschel, and Francis' classmates, the wealthy wasp Hastings siblings; Judith and Randy who have arrived unexpectedly, much to their friend's dismay.

Fran Geminiani - 45. Working class Italian-American single father of Francis. Boisterous and friendly. Thick South Philly accent. Thicker build/beer belly. Coughs a lot from mild emphysema.

Francis Geminiani - About to celebrate his 21st birthday. Thicker build, a little clumsy. Entering his senior year at Harvard. In the process of figuring out his sexuality.

Herschel Weinberger - 16. Bunny’s son. Heavyset, asthmatic, very bright, but eccentric. Obsessed with public transportation in all its manifestations. Shy and socially awkward.

Randy Hastings - Judith’s brother, just finishing his first year at Harvard. Quintessentially handsome WASP.
