Spanish-English Theatre Camp Instructor

Montgomery Theater is seeking a director/instructor for a one-week Spanish-English bilingual summer camp.

Where: Montgomery Theater in Souderton PA

When: The camp will meet Monday through Friday, July 13-17 from 9:30a-3pm. The final performance/presentation will be on Friday, July 17th at 2:30pm. There will also be coordination with staff leading up to the camp.

Responsibilities: 

• Work with up to 12 students (ages 12-17) to present a 30 minute showcase performance of a scripted bilingual short play chosen by MT Artistic Staff.
• Responsible for all standard directorial and acting coaching tasks. 
• Plan daily schedule, with support from Director of Education.
• Assist proofing of Spanish language materials provided by Montgomery Theater.

Requirements: 

• Prior theatrical directing experience
• Prior teaching experience with students ages 12-17
• Fluency in both Spanish and English
• Reliable transportation to and from Souderton, PA
• State and federal clearances

Compensation: $1,300 flat fee

Montgomery Theater is a vital part of the community and a contributor to the vast artistic resources of our area. We offer local productions of plays and musicals, standup comedy shows, and acting classes and camps for kids. Each year on our intimate 122 seat Main Stage we produce six professional productions. On our 75-seat Project Stage we produce two family-friendly shows, five Comedy Nights, and one New Work.
