Symphony in C, a professional orchestra based in Collingswood, and Rutgers-Camden’s School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts are seeking local Philadelphia actors for their fall co-production of the classic musical comedy No, No Nanette. Professional actors will fill key principal and ensemble roles, supplementing a company of Rutgers undergraduate students for this Encores-style performance. The creative team includes Kenneth Elliott, Director; Samuel Antonio Reyes, Choreographer; and Soyeon Bin, Musical Director. Symphony in C will serve as the orchestra, with 30+ professional musicians.

Rehearsals - September 22-October 23, 2026
Performances - October 24-November 1, 2026
Rehearsals are generally Tues. through Thurs. evenings, and afternoons on Fri. and Sat. All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Rutgers-Camden campus.
Auditions will be held by appointment July 16, 21 and 22 at Rutgers-Camden. There will be an Ensemble dance call on July 16th, followed by Principal auditions on the 21st and callbacks for all roles on the 22nd.
Seeking AEA and Non-AEA actors for the following roles:
JIMMY SMITH - male-presenting, 40-50s, Tenor. A wealthy Bible publisher who just wants to make people “happy,” especially a trio of female friends. Generous and good-hearted, but bumbling.
SUE SMITH - female-presenting, 40s-50s, Alto. Jimmy’s wife, conventional, respectable, proper, and kind, but strict when it comes to her niece, Nanette. A strong tapper.
BILLY EARLY - male-presenting, 30s-40s, Tenor. Jimmy’s lawyer and friend, wily and fun-loving. A great dancer.
LUCILLE EARLY - female-presenting, 30s-40s, Alto. Billy’s wife and Sue’s best friend, a smart, sassy, sophisticated, witty, spendthrift. A skilled dancer.
ENSEMBLE - male-presenting, 20s-early 30s, various voice parts. Strong singer/dancers with some tap experience.
