Seeking actors for Inis Nua’s June 2026 production of SAME TEAM by Robbie Gordon & Jack Nurse. SAME TEAM is a very physical ensemble play. In addition to their main roles, actors move seamlessly in and out of multiple characters. Vocal and physical boldness are needed as is working in Scottish dialect. We are particularly interested in meeting actors with Soccer experience. Rehearsals will begin May 5, 2026. The show performs 5/27/26 through 6/14/26. Both Equity and non-equity actors are encouraged to submit their materials.
JO - The Captain. A rock who is carrying the team and deep personal wounds. An addict in recovery, she has the decisiveness and flexibility of a Center Midfielder. Fast, skilled and full of tough love.
THE B - A defender. The B is for Beast. She is ferocious and uncensored, always carrying a coiled threat of violence, but eager to connect and loyal to a fault. The B could also stand for Bomb.
NOOR - Wing. A naturally gifted player. A high school student carrying far too many responsibilities. Does not know who she is or where to land. South Asian.
LORRAINE - The Goalie. Nicknamed "The Cat" for her magical reflexes. She is stronger than her middle-class trophy wife appearance. Going through an agonizing divorce.
SAMMY - Forward. A single mother on the edge of eviction. She is fragile and resilient. She needs a win and a community.
