THE PROJECT
The Subject is a psychological thriller in active development — a story about behavioral science, covert influence, and the blurred line between observer and subject. With a producer pitch underway and professional editing in progress, the film is at a pivotal stage. We are looking for one sharp, self-directed intern to advance the mission. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll take initiative with research, scheduling and the project’s digital presence. And bring your own ideas to the table.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
— Manage the production calendar — tracking milestones, pitch timelines, and outreach deadlines
— Conduct research on industry contacts, comparable films, casting, and distribution pathways
— Maintain and update the project website with development news and assets
— Support correspondence and follow-up with producers, editors, and collaborators
— Organize script drafts, reference materials, and production documentation
— Handle one-off tasks as they arise — and figure out how to get them done
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
— Genuine interest in or experience with the film industry — production, development, or storytelling
— Self-starter who treats ambiguity as an invitation, not an obstacle
— Curious, resourceful, comfortable operating with minimal oversight
— Strong written communication and organizational instincts
— Familiar with The Subject before applying — know the story, know the genre
— Comfortable in a fast-moving early-stage environment alongside a solo founder
WHAT YOU'LL GET
— Direct mentorship from emerging an writer-producer — former Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Navy, Perry World House Senior Advisor, and strategic intelligence advisor
— Real production credits and a front-row seat to the pitching and development process
— Hands-on experience spanning scheduling, research, and digital production management
— A strong professional reference upon successful completion
