The International Churchill Society seeks an experienced Producer/Director to cast, direct, and produce a one-time, conference performance of NOT AN ATTRACTIVE FELLOW, a 45 minute play of a staged dinner conversation between newly elected Vice President Theodore Roosevelt and a young 26 year old Winston Churchill, set in New York Governor’s Mansion in December, 1900.
Date/Time: Friday afternoon, October 16, 2026 (exact call time TBD)
Venue: Union League, Ballroom & Stage, Philadelphia
Audience: About 350 conference attendees
About the script: An imagined dialogue gleaned from historical sources: Churchill dines with Roosevelt and their eagerly awaited conversation becomes a clash of ego, culture, and ambition.
Cast (4): Theodore Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Edward Marshall (Roosevelt's Aid de Camp and fellow Rough Rider), and a Presenter (an ICS member) for a brief prologue/epilogue.

Responsibilities (Producer/Director)
Lead casting process (breakdown, outreach, auditions/self-tapes, selection. The ICS may suggest cast.)
Direct rehearsals and stage the work for a one-time performance
Produce logistics: rehearsal schedule, production calendar, coordination with conference sponsor and venue, day-of show operations
Coordinate basic production needs appropriate to a one-off event (props/costumes/set dressing, simple tech needs as applicable)
Sponsorship is approved; competitive compensation for this scope/market.
