Part-Time Box Office Representative

Position Overview

People’s Light seeks an enthusiastic and customer-focused Box Office Representative to join our team for the upcoming season. This part-time position offers flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with paid training, up to 20 hours per week on a temporary basis. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the arts who are looking to engage with audiences at a nationally recognized theater committed to accessibility, education, community investment, and new works.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in person.
• Process ticket orders, subscriptions, and exchanges using our ticketing database.
• Print and distribute tickets for performances.
• Record and track ticket scans and attendance.
• Attend and complete training sessions as needed.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Associate Director of Ticketing & Sales.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging with a diverse public.
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls and in-person interactions efficiently and professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Previous customer service or performing arts experience is a plus.
• Experience with Tessitura or other customer databases is preferred but not required.

Additional Information

• This position requires evening and weekend availability.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the theater.
