NOW CASTING "A Marine Walks Up to the Pearly Gates". We're looking for a few good actors.

Now casting “A Marine Walks Up to the Pearly Gates” by Marine veteran and YBC founder Joshua Crone, premiering in September at the Philly Fringe Festival with encore performances in November for the 250th birthday of the Corps.

THE STORY
From the American Revolution to Afghanistan, casualties of war arrive at the Pearly Gates, each one a ghostly witness to the 250-year history of the U.S. Marine Corps. Will these brave but troubled souls find their way into Heaven, or are they doomed to haunt the perimeter forever?

THE ROLES

PATRICK KAINE. 18. Irish immigrant who enlisted in the Continental Marines in Philadelphia in 1775 and died under cannon fire aboard the Cabot in ‘76.

WILLIAM PRESCOTT IV. 25. Corporal from Virginia who succumbed to malaria in a Florida swamp in 1837 during the Second Seminole War.

KARL SAVITZKY. 20. Young private from New York killed by mustard gas in WWI while fighting the Germans in the Battle of Belleau Wood in 1918.

ROY HATHALE. 22. Navajo code talker killed by a landmine in WWII while fighting the Japanese on Iwo Jima in 1945.

CARTER CRAWFORD. 24. Dark Green Marine from Oakland who served in Force Recon in Vietnam, where he drowned while clearing an underwater tunnel in 1973.

JENNIFER LARKIN. 22. Woman Marine who was killed by a suicide bomber in Kabul in 2021 while helping Afghan women and children evacuate.
