Musical theater Director

The Conservatory of Music and Dance (COMAD) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Theater/Musical Theater Director to lead children's and teen theater productions.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee children's and teen musical theater productions.
• Conduct weekly rehearsals and for summer camp.
• Collaborate with choreographers, music directors, and production staff.
• Guide students in acting, character development, stage presence, and performance skills.
• Assist with casting, show selection, and production planning.
• Foster a positive, educational, and inclusive environment for young performers.

Qualifications:

• Experience directing theater and/or musical theater productions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work with children and teens of varying ages and experience levels.
• Knowledge of musical theater repertoire and production processes.
• Teaching experience is a plus.
