Dates: July 14–18, 2025
Pay Rate: $25–$27 per hour (based on experience)

The Yocum Institute is seeking a creative and engaging Multi-Arts Music Instructor to lead age-appropriate music lessons for campers ages 4–12 during our themed summer camp week, Knights of the Round Table. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and has a passion for blending music with imaginative storytelling.

Schedule

• Monday: 9:15–10:15 AM, 11:15 AM–12:15 PM, 1:00–3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:15–10:15 AM, 11:15 AM–12:15 PM
• Thursday: 9:15–10:15 AM, 11:15 AM–12:15 PM, 1:00–3:00 PM
• Friday: 9:15–10:15 AM, 11:15 AM–12:15 PM

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver fun, theme-based music lessons tailored to a range of ages (4–12)
• Incorporate storytelling, rhythm, and interactive elements inspired by the “Knights of the Round Table” theme
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages creativity and participation
• Collaborate with camp counselors and staff to ensure a smooth and positive experience for campers
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication throughout the week

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience teaching or working with children in an educational or camp setting
• Must have current PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Background Check, and FBI Fingerprinting
• Reliable transportation to and from West Lawn, PA
