Title: Marketing and Engagement Associate 

Salary: $42,500 Annually 

Timeline: This is a full time position starting immediately

Position Overview

DTC is looking for a eager and creative Marketing and Engagement Associate! This role is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating marketing and engagement initiatives to promote productions, build audience engagement, strengthen community relationships, and help maintain and grow DTC’s brand. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, creative content development, and data-driven decision-making to ensure the success of marketing efforts. 


Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Create and maintain an annual breakdown and schedule of marketing communications, promotions, and mailings.

  • In colloboration with leadership develop comprehensive marketing plans to promote shows and events.

  • Manage advertising campaigns across print, digital, and other platforms; adjust strategies based on performance metrics with DTC external consultants.

  • Create compelling content, including press releases, email newsletters, social media posts, and promotional materials.

  • Act as liaison with the graphic designer to communicate brand vision and design needs.

  • Produce in-house supplementary graphics and materials as needed.

  • Analyze marketing metrics and adjust strategies based on data.

  • Coordinate digital marketing efforts in collaboration with the digital marketing team.

  • Collaborate with the DTC leadership to set ticket prices and discounts.

  • Coordinate meetings with the marketing team to plan campaigns and promotional opportunities

  • Connect with local businesses to establish partnerships and distribute marketing collateral.
  • Assist with other programs and events or special needs of the DTC as directed by the Producing Artistic and Managing Directors. 
  • Other duties, activities, and projects as assigned by the Producing Artistic and Managing Directors.

    Community Engagement

  • In collaboration with senior leadership, work on long-term marketing initiatives to strengthen brand awareness and community partnerships.

  • Run and manage mailing lists for targeted communications.

  • Build relationships with local businesses to expand outreach and visibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience and interest in marketing, communications, or development, preferably in the theater or nonprofit sector.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling content.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, email marketing and social media platforms. .

  • Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.

  • Collaborative mindset with excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Graphic design skills or experience working with designers are a plus!

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sense of humor and “go getting attitude”!
