Food Tour Guide

Tour Guides needed for a food tour company in Philadelphia, PA. The tours are walking tours that include a number of food stops, where guests sample food and are informed of the food scene and history of Philadelphia as it pertains to that specific tour's theme. Tours run almost daily in early afternoon (1:30-4pm) and generally have about 6-15 guests. The number of tours and their frequencies vary per week and Tour Guides are only scheduled based on their availability. A script is provided and must be memorized during the training process.

Qualifications:

1. Friendly demeanor who is personable and charismatic
2. Good communication and strong customer service experience
3. Ability to memorize a script and speak to large groups
4. Available some weekdays in early afternoons
5. Ability to walk/be on feet for 3 hours at a time
6. Has lived in the Philadelphia area for at least 4 years
7. Loves food

Two Methods to Apply:

2. Describe your experience speaking to others/the public.
3. Mention any tours you have been on or given (doesn't have to be just in Philadelphia).
4. Why are you interested in becoming a tour guide?
5. What's your favorite food vendor/restaurant in Philadelphia?
