The Finance Associate is a key player in helping FringeArts manage our daily

financial operations. This detail-oriented collaborator is responsible for managing all accounts

receivable and accounts payable, payroll entry, and bank reconciliations. This position works

directly with, and reports to, the Managing Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile daily Patron Manager/Salesforce ticketing reports with actual funds received
  • Enter PM/SF daily sales & donations reports into QuickBooks accounting software
  • Prepare bank deposits and take to bank
  • Issue Invoices for Accounts Receivable
  • Track and enter payments for A/R
  • Call and collect on delinquent A/R accounts
  • Manage Accounts Payable for all vendors
  • Collect and enter vendor tax information
  • Oversee vendor bill entry into QuickBooks accounting software
  • Enter bi-weekly payroll and employee benefit allocations in QuickBooks
  • Make all A/P vendor payments
  • Arrange wire transfers for foreign parties
  • Arrange petty cash needs for staff & artists
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including petty cash, credit cards, payroll, operating, money market, investment accounts, etc.
  • Work with staff on identifying and resolving reconciliation discrepancies
  • Perform monthly event rental reconciliations between QuickBooks and PatronManager
  • Perform biweekly development reconciliations between QuickBooks and PatronManager
  • Manage A/R and A/P for FringeArts subsidiary accounts
  • Issue monthly invoices for services and utilities subsidiary accounts
  • Coordinate with fundraising team regarding A/R and A/P for fundraising events
  • Train and supervise Finance Intern
  • Assist Managing Director with preparing budget reports
  • Prepare financial reports for grants and other ad hoc reports as needed
  • Assist with annual 1099 reporting
  • Assist with year-end tax & audit preparations

Qualifications & Requirements:

Candidates must have previous experience using accounting software and have strong MS

Office/Excel experience. Must have a demonstrated facility for working with numbers, a keen

attention to detail and organization, and a high level of critical thinking and problem solving

skills. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Salesforce, a love of mysteries and puzzles, and an

interest in the arts preferred.
