EgoPo is now accepting Audition videos for our 24-25 Queer Revolutions season!

EgoPo is seeking actor submissions for our upcoming season, Queer Revolutions, which includes two mainstage productions, three readings, and a drag ball. All actors and performers are encouraged to submit, with an added encouragement to LGBTQIA+ actors particularly Queer and Trans performers. We are looking for performers of all skill levels. 

This is a general audition for the season. In the registration form, please list which projects you are interested in and available for. Invitations to specific callbacks will be determined by the director of each project. All roles are compensated based on the number of weeks in rehearsal and the size of the role within a production. Compensation ranges from a minimum of $200/wk for ensemble roles to $510/wk for AEA positions.

  • Rehearsals begin 1/7/25-1/28/25. Performances run 1/29/25-2/9/25
• Charles Ludlam & Bill Vehr’s Turds in Hell-Directed by Dane Eissler
  • Rehearsals begin 3/18/25-4/8/25. Performances run 4/9/25-4/20/25
• Reading Series
  • Risin to the Love We Need by Assotto Saint in collaboration with Theatre in the X: 11/3/24 rehearsals TBD
  • The Normal Heart by Larry Kramer: 12/3/24 rehearsals TBD
  • Last Summer at Bluefish Cove by Jane Chambers in collaboration with Strides Collective: 3/1/25 rehearsals TBD
• Philly is Burning: A Drag Ball-Curated by Devon Roberts
  • June 8th, 2025. Specifically seeking Drag & Ballroom performers for a specially curated show.

What To Prepare:

• A current headshot and resume in PDF format.
• Self-taped audition up to 90 seconds. Can be made up of 1 or 2 monologues of your choice OR one monologue plus another skill.
  • For Philly is Burning Gala performance: Videos of drag performances/performance art will be accepted in addition to, or instead of, a monologue. Please ensure the two videos do not total more than 2 minutes.

Please Note: Videos should be submitted as either a YouTube link or a Google Drive link BUT be sure that sharing permissions are set to “anyone with the link” as to ensure easy access. There are no specific requirements for framing, backdrops, or slating.

EgoPo will be offering limited AEA Special Appearance Tier 2 contracts throughout the season so both Equity and Non-Equity actors are encouraged to submit for the season.
