DTC Summer On Stage 2026: Lead Teaching Artists, Assistant Teaching Artists, and Apprentices

Delaware Theatre Company | Wilmington, DE

Post Date: May 20, 2026

Delaware Theatre Company | Delaware Theatre Company
Wilmington, Delaware | Independent Contractor Positions

Delaware Theatre Company is seeking Lead Teaching Artists, Assistant Teaching Artists, and Apprentices to join our Summer on Stage Theatre Enrichment Program, a beloved summer experience with more than 30 years of inspiring creativity, collaboration, and confidence through live theatre.

Our teaching artists create a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment for young people ages 8–16, leading theatre-based classes and rehearsals that help students build skills, self-confidence, and a strong sense of community. Summer on Stage emphasizes process-based learning and artistic growth. Teaching artists are valued as educators and creative mentors who guide students through meaningful exploration in their areas of expertise.

We are seeking teaching artists to join our existing team, who are committed to a collaborative and unified approach to theatre education. Because acting, movement, and voice and speech training can draw from different methodologies, all members of the teaching team are expected to work within a shared pedagogical framework. This ensures that students receive clear, consistent instruction and benefit from a cohesive creative process supported by a common language and aligned teaching practices.
