Director, Choreographer- A Chorus Line

Locations: West Chester, PA (performances & some rehearsals) & Parkesburg, PA (majority of rehearsals)

About the Production:
Revival Productions is thrilled to present the iconic musical A Chorus Line, opening September 19th, 2025 at Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester, PA. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director/Choreographer to lead this production.

*Note: We will accept an individual Director and Choreographer or a Director/Choreographer combined position. Both SDC members and non-union welcome to apply 

This position requires a strong creative vision, an understanding of the heart and history of A Chorus Line, and the ability to work collaboratively with a passionate team of performers and creatives.

Key Dates:

• Auditions: Late May / Early June (exact dates TBD)
• Rehearsals Begin: Late June
• Tech Week: Begins Saturday, September 13th-Thursday, Sept 18th, 2025
• Opening Night: Friday, September 19th, 2025
• Performances: Sept 19th- Sept 28th, 2025 (7 performances)

Responsibilities:

• Direct and choreograph the full production of A Chorus Line
• Collaborate with the production team, including music director, stage manager, designers, and producing team
• Lead auditions and cast the show with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Create a supportive and inspiring rehearsal environment for performers and the entire team
• Develop a rehearsal schedule in collaboration with production staff
• Oversee and execute staging and choreography true to the spirit of A Chorus Line, while bringing a fresh and engaging perspective
• Participate in production meetings and be present for all key rehearsals, tech week, and opening.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience directing and/or choreographing musical theatre productions, preferably with ensemble-heavy shows
• Strong knowledge of A Chorus Line and its unique structure, characters, and demands
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a creative team and performers of various skill levels
• Availability for the entire rehearsal and tech week period.

Additional Information: 

• Pay is commensurate with experience or SDC contract.  
• All actors on this production are paid a per performance stipend.
• Rehearsals are typically 3-4 days per week, in the evenings and on weekends.
