Dancer and Teaching Artist

Seeking Dance Teaching Artist for Summer Camp

We are seeking an energetic, inclusive, imaginative, and supportive dance teaching artist to lead movement and dance instruction for our multi-arts camp for three weeks in July. Should have experience working with varying ages, experience levels, and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and leading age-appropriate dance and movement activities for mult-arts campers.
• Creating a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment. 
• Introducing campers to the fundamentals of dance through creative exploration, storytelling, rhythm, and movement games.
• Collaborating with camp staff.

Schedule:

• July 13 - 17
• M/W - 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM, 11:15 AM, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
• T/Th - 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM, 11:15 AM
• F - 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Compensation:

• $25 - 30/teaching hour (depending on experience)

Requirements:

• Extensive dance background
• Experience teaching different dance styles.
• Required clearances must be in hand

• Comfortable balancing efficiency with education
• Interested in working in a creative, educational environment
