The Media Theatre in MEDIA, PA is seeking submissions for a Costume Designer for their Summer 2026 Young Professionals Production of Mean Girls the Musical. Please see the breakdown below for information. Local housing is not provided. The deadline to apply is July 10th. Looking for candidates to begin work immediately.

The Young Professional’s series is performed by young professionals in the area alongside those who have graduated from Media Theatre’s youth program. The Costume Designer would not need to attend performances. The ideal candidate would be able to attend a few rehearsals for fittings. They would need to work closely with the theatre’s Head of Wardrobe. Compensation is a stipend payment aligning with experience. This position has opportunity for future work as The Media Theatre will produce three youth shows a year from September  2026 through May 2027 and will be in need of a costume designer.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently within a budget and has excellent time management skills. The Costume Coordinator would be responsible for sourcing costumes, ensuring each cast member had at least one costume for each production. They would collaborate with union crew members, communicating with the artistic team and Education Manager.

Rehearsal Dates: Sunday July 12th and 19th, Sunday - Thursday July 26th - Aug 6th.

Tech Dates: Aug 9th - 13th

Opening Aug 14th
