Costume Designer - Grease

THE MEDIA THEATRE is seeking an experienced Costume Designer for its upcoming 2025 production of GREASE. The Media Theatre is a LOA in reference to LORT. Stipend designer fee with possible additional hourly rates.  As a pre-condition of employment it is required to have the requisite clearances for criminal and child abuse clearances from the State Police, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, and the FBI. 

Expected duties include (but not limited to):

• Provide a design within budget and time constraints.
• Attend all Production Meetings either in person or via Zoom.
• Collaborate with the Director & Technical Director on all pre-production concepts.
• Mandatory attendance to Designer Run.
• Report to the Technical Director/Production Manager the intended vision.
• Work with the given materials and advise Production Team and Technical Director on    appropriate avenues of achieving additional resources.
• Attend all scheduled technical rehearsals.
• Collaborate with Director of each production in creating a cohesive design before rehearsals    begin.
• Create a comprehensive schedule and responsibility delegation of required work (Pulling from stock, purchasing, building, etc.)
• Ability to adapt to a varied schedule
• Proficiency in software including but not limited to:

  Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel

First Rehearsal: April 14, 2025

Tech Begins: April 25, 2025

Previews: April 30 - May 1, 2025

Opening: May 2, 2025
