Costume Designer - Fun Home

The Media Theatre (LOA in reference to LORT) is seeking an experienced Costume Designer for its 2026 production of Fun Home.

This position is primarily a conceptual and supervisory design role. The Costume Designer will create the overall costume design, source garments and materials from the theatre's stock, and collaborate closely with the Wardrobe Supervisor, who will oversee ongoing wardrobe execution and maintenance during rehearsals and the run.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop a complete costume design concept within established budget and production timelines
• Collaborate with the Director, Artistic Team, and Director of Production during pre-production
• Attend production meetings (in person or via Zoom) and the Designer Run
• Source costumes through stock, rental, and/or purchase, and advise on build needs as necessary
• Create a clear plan and delegation of responsibilities for costume execution (pulls, purchases, builds, fittings)
• Partner with the Wardrobe Supervisor to ensure continuity of design and appropriate costume care during the run
• Attend scheduled technical rehearsals as needed
