The Media Theatre in MEDIA, PA is seeking submissions for Costume Coordinator for their 2025- 2026 Youth Ensemble Series season. Please see the breakdown below for information. Local housing is not provided. Seeking experienced candidates who have worked with children previously. The Media Theatre requires all applicants to have their PA and Federal clearances up to date.
The Youth Ensemble Series at The Media Theatre is a brand new, refreshed program that began in 2020 and is excited to return again this fall. Performed entirely by youth actors ages 6 - 18, this series provides an opportunity for those involved (up to 30 cast members) to work with professional production staff, while presenting a quality product to audiences in Delaware County. The Costume Coordinator would meet with the creative team before rehearsals begin, work independently to source costumes, attend three rehearsals for the purposes of coordinating costumes. The Costume Coordinator would not need to attend performances. They would need to work closely with the theatre’s Head of Wardrobe. Compensation is a stipend payment aligning with experience.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently within a budget and has excellent time management skills. The Costume Coordinator would be responsible for sourcing costumes, ensuring each cast member had at least one costume for each production. They would collaborate with union crew members, communicating with the artistic team and Education Manager.
