The Candlelight Theatre, located in historic Ardentown, Delaware (30 minutes from Center City, Philadelphia) is seeking non-union, singer/dancer/actors for its upcoming production of The Producers which runs January 17 to February 22, 2026. Director -Jody Anderson, Choreographers – Jody Anderson and Scott Jacobs, Music Director – Betsy Conner. The Candlelight Theatre encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities to attend auditions.
The Candlelight Theatre is a professional Dinner Theatre located in Ardentown, Delaware,approximately 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia. There are 3-5 performances per week. Housing is not provided.
THE PRODUCERS. In Mel Brooks’ laugh-out-loud spectacle, the plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history, thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Auditions will be held by appointment at The Candleight Theatre, 2208 Millers Road, Wilmington, DE 19810
on Monday, September 29th 6:00 – 10:00pm and Tuesday, September 30th 6:00 – 10:00pm.
Callbacks will be scheduled if needed. Rehearsals begin on or around Monday, November, 17, 2025 through Friday, January 16, 2026. The show runs January 17 – February 22, 2026.

For auditions, please prepare 16 - 32 bars in the style of the show. Songs from the show are acceptable. An accompanist will be provided. Please provide clearly marked sheet music. No recorded tracks please. Be prepared to dance and please bring tap shoes. A tap combination will be given. Readings will be provided. Please come with headshot and resume stapled together.
