The Kammerspiel is casting non-equity male identifying actors for the following roles in The Melon's Cry, an original play to premier as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, September 10th-13th.
Performances will take place in a former lecture hall at 3301 Scotts Lane in East Falls. Rehearsals will be in Center City.
Sergeant Mehrhof/Ensemble- 30s white, recruiter for the military, reverent.
Sergeant Mitchell/Ensemble- 30s African-American, recruiter for the military, charming and affable.
Boy/Ensemble- a high-school boy, a dancer (can be played by an actor in their 20s).
Eric/Ensemble- white, a middle-aged writer, erudite and libidinous.
Teacher/Ensemble- a high-school teacher, 40s-60s.
