Casting Call for Short Film "Focal Aware"

Filmmaker/film professor in the Lehigh Valley seeking union and non-union actors for a short horror/comedy to portray comedic characters in their 30s through 60s.

• Moll: Comedian/dancer in her 40s who lives and dies several times
• Al: Comedian in his 60s / romantic partner to Moll
• Bess: Heckler in her 60s / romantic partner to Moll
• Shelly: Dancer in her 40s / romantic partner to Moll

In addition, we are casting several other speaking roles, actors who can portray characters in their 30s through 60s.

Story involves age-appropriate language, material, and themes, some of which are disturbing. Intimacy Coordinator and Stunt Coordinator will coordinate light stunts and intimate moments.

Role requires:

• Physical contact and comfort with intimacy, working with an Intimacy Coordinator (telling the story of a makeout).
• Comfort with simulated gore.
• No simulated sex acts, disrobing, or nudity.
• Minor stunts, working with a certified Stunt Coordinator.
• Strong mover.
• Physical contact while dancing (contemporary partner), working with a professional dance choreographer

Experience with contemporary partner work (dance) a plus.

Filming Details:

• Pay: Deferred pay if SAG.
• Copy of the completed film will be provided for all actors in the film.
• Transportation, gas, and parking costs reimbursed for rehearsals and production days.
• Location: Film will be shot in and around Bethlehem, PA
• Schedule: Rehearsals in November and early December. Filming December 16 – December 20.
