AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT!
RITZ KIDZ: RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER & 2026 SEASON!
Audition Date: Wednesday, November 19th @ 12PM
The Ritz Theatre Company is looking to cast a creative, diverse troupe of actors for our holiday production of RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER and the entirety of our 2026 Ritz Kidz season, beginning in January.
Here at The Ritz, we pride ourselves on providing exciting, engaging, and interactive theatre to kids and kids at heart. We take favorite myths and fairytales and put our Ritz Kidz spin on them to make the stories feel fresh and new in fun, theatrical retellings that typically last an hour. Little life lessons are taught, and the first rule is to laugh and to have a good time.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Experience with Children’s Theatre is a plus. We are seeking season-long commitments from all potential members of the troupe. Actors are paid a $50 stipend per performance. All rehearsals take place on weekday mornings (usually three rehearsals per production). All performances are scheduled on weekday mornings and Saturday mornings/afternoons.
For the audition, actors should prepare a one-minute comedic monologue appropriate for the realm of Children’s Theatre. Actors may also be asked to stay for a callback round consisting of storytelling and improvisation exercises.
