- 2nd Round: By invitation only, at the Ritz, Monday, November 18 @ 7:00PM
- 3rd Round: By invitation only, at the Ritz, Wednesday, November 20 @ 7:00PM
Rehearses: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings beginning December 8th
Performance Dates: February 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, March 1, 2
The Ritz Theatre Company is currently seeking a diverse cast of non-union artists for our upcoming production of KINKY BOOTS. For the first round of auditions, please send an email containing your headshot, resume, and self-tape to [email protected] with the subject line “KINKY BOOTS”. Due to expected volume, submissions will not be accepted after the above deadline.
For the self-tape, actors should record a 16-32 bar cut of a song in the style of the show. YouTube links are preferred. If sending via Google Drive, please ensure anyone provided the link can access the video. Successful candidates from the first round will be invited to attend the in-person round. All actors will receive a small stipend.
SYNOPSIS:
Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair find that they have more in common than they realized... and discover that when you change your mind, you can change your whole world.

Charlie Price - A bit confused, a bit unfocused, a hero hiding under a victim's mantle.

Don - Lola's nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker. Sings up to D5 for the finale.
