God of Carnage is a Tony Award-winning dark comedy about two sets of parents who meet to resolve a playground fight between their sons -- but their attempt at civility quickly devolves into a chaotic, hilarious, and savage argument that exposes their own flaws and marital tensions.
Characters:
Age range late 30’s – 50’s for all.
Veronica Novak - takes charge of the meeting, needs to be in control. Appears compassionate, with passive-aggressive tendencies. Morally superior. A writer and art lover.
Michael Novak – appears amiable, agreeable. A working man, he sells household goods. Can be crude.
Annette Raleigh – a polished professional, she’s an investment banker. Appears friendly and calm but is prone to anxiety. Gets seriously drunk by the play’s end.
Alan Raleigh – a self-absorbed lawyer, constantly on his phone. Arrogant, dismissive and unapologetic.
