This is not a typical play but a collection of works and prose by Bertolt Brecht, translated by George Tabori, and reexamined for our age. It explores the political and social issues Brecht faced throughout his life as an artist fleeing the Nazi Regime and as an exile, ultimately landing in America.

EVERYONE: For your audition, please prepare a memorized reading of any short poem or prose of your choice from the 19th or 20th century.  Please do not exceed 2 minutes and do not invent any prose of your own (We will require you to state the author's name)

Everyone will be required to sing a few scales during auditions.  Just relax, this won't hurt a bit!

Singers and Rappers are needed: Rappers  (Male or Female) will be supplied with a prerecorded "beat".  The content of the Rap must be adapted from your audition or another short selection of published prose.  We are looking for innovation so if you choose a selection from any Tom Stoppard, or T.S. Elliot, make certain you are on top of the text!

Singers  (2 females needed) may bring 16 bars of any song that features your voice in your most comfortable range.  We have an accompanist to help, but if you play a guitar or piano, you are welcome to accompany yourself.  Looking for one classically trained singer and one singer who can handle a folk tune.

1-2 Male actors are needed to round out the cast

Callbacks are by invitation only on Sunday February 8th and will proceed any overflow appointments (You get to be first in line)
