We Do Productions is pleased to announce this open call for video auditions for our debut production of William Henry Harrison: The Musical, original book and lyrics by Callie Perone. The musical will be performed at the Christ Church Neighborhood House (20 N American St, Philadelphia) from May 22-24, 2026. The musical is a 12-person ensemble-heavy show that will be directed by Karina Wiener and music directed by Erin Berlew.
ABOUT THE SHOW
You may know William Henry Harrison as the president who died just one month into his term after giving a really long inauguration speech in the rain without a coat on…or, maybe you don’t.
Detailing the inane absurdity of Harrison’s life and death, William Henry Harrison: The Musical dives deep into the minutiae of U.S. history, indulging in every trivial detail. Inspired by a pub trivia question, a modern-day group of friends comes together to sing the un-sung story of a president known only for his singular fun-fact (if that!), a forgotten political party, and an overlooked era that will leave you speechless…
We are seeking actors of any gender/racial/ethnic identity, age 21+, to fill principal and ensemble roles. All roles feature singing, and all actors will play multiple roles. Dance experience is preferred but not required.
KEY DATES
Tech/dress rehearsals: Tuesday May 19 and Thursday May 21.
Performance dates: Friday May 22, Saturday May 23, and Sunday May 24.
Weekly rehearsals will begin the first week of March 2026, locations TBD (in the Philadelphia area). Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday or Thursday nights and Saturday or Sunday afternoons, depending on availability of the cast, with additional rehearsals scheduled as we approach opening night. Cast members will also be required to assist with the set strike on May 24.
