Colonial Playhouse will be holding auditions for its May 2026 production of
John Patrick Shanley’s Italian American Reconciliation,
directed by Maurizio Giammarco.

Auditions will be held:
Actors are asked to prepare a 1–2-minute monologue, either comedic or dramatic, with a preference toward comedic material.
Cold readings from the script will be available.

May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, & 17
Characters
Aldo Salicki: Italian, intense, jokester, 30s
Huey Bonfigliano: Aldo’s best friend since childhood, vulnerable, 30s
Aunt May: A handsome woman, 60s, sharp-tongued, compassionate
Teresa: A girl in her late 20s, early 30s; spirited; good-hearted
Janice: An angular, patrician woman, blonde hair in her 30’s
Two young couples, 20s, who can dance and lip-sync to songs in the show, and who will be the “chorus”, moving in and out of the show. The character of Teresa will also lip-sync excerpts from two Italian songs.
Choreographer needed to work with the two young couples.
