About the play: James is a tramp of a man who seeks to change his luck and gain the respect of his young daughter by winning a supermarket sweepstakes. The prize is a brand new, very expensive, designer-made suit of clothes. Fate conspires to help James win the sweepstakes and sets off on a life of achievement, respect, and a new love. But James finds that his sudden change of fortune may not be all he thought it might be. The play is a parody/farce, played at a fast comic pace, until suddenly it isn't.
Characters: The play has an ensemble cast of five/six with some actors playing multiple parts
James - 30 something, a tramp
Leanne - a grocery clerk, James' love interest, 25-40.
Don Berry - a slick game show host (think Bob Barker or Monty Hall)
An ensemble of 2-3 actors plays multiple other roles, ages flexible
