CAPTAIN HOOK - Flashy Character Singer - High Baritone/Low Tenor. Any race/ethnicity. The villain. A dashing and debonair nepo-baby pirate who delights in being bad. Self centered and vain, he can swashbuckle with the best but is consistently made the apoplectic fool by Peter Pan.
SMEE - Charming Old-timey Showbiz Tenor. Any race/ethnicity. The villain's sidekick. Smarter and more aware than Hook but less confident, over the course of the show he goes from subservient yes-man to breakaway star with the passion of Mama Rose.
WENDY - Gutsy Intelligent Mix/Belter - High Alto. Any race/ethnicity. The eldest of the Darling children. A girl on the cusp of adulthood who is slightly afraid of what it means to be "a young woman". Curious, quick-witted and always up for adventure, she also has a vulnerability that comes with being a young person who is not sure they want to grow up.
JOHN - Solid and True character youth singer - High Baritone/Low Tenor. Any race/ethnicity. The middle Darling child. A lover of science and computers who is a little insecure about not being good at sports or other traditional "boy" things. He has an inventive mind and longs to be a leader.
MICHAEL - Sweet & Clear Singer - Tenor. Any race/ethnicity. The youngest of the Darling children. Full of all the fun and fears of childhood, he is always ready to play and has a singular obsession with the danger of pirates.
FIFI - Brassy Character Belter - High Alto. Any race/ethnicity. A fabulous French poodle with the emphasis on the "French". One of the nannies in the neighborhood, she is both tragically unlucky in love and absolutely practical when it comes to moving on and taking care of business. Edith Piaf meets Samantha Jones in dog form.
DORA - Wise, but Flashy Belter - Alto. Any race/ethnicity. An adorable dachshund. One of the nannies in the neighborhood, she is fiercely loyal to her charge but also has done a lot of musical theater and wouldn't mind a career on Broadway.
MR. DARLING/PA BELL/CHRISTOPHER - Tried & True Character Singer - Baritone. Any race/ethnicity. Mr. Darling is a loving parent but also a rather stuffy curmudgeon who just doesn't understand "kids these days". Pa Bell is Tinkerbell's father, an aging fairy with sciatica and Catskills comic timing who has retired to Florida. Christopher is one of the lost kids in the neighborhood. He is the most cynical and mis-trusting of Peter Pan and the Neverland game.
HARVEY - A Unique and Feisty Voice - High Baritone. Any race/ethnicity. One of the lost kids in the neighborhood, he is aggressively quirky and is trying to figure out how to fit in.

BENEATHA YOUNGER – Black. Character’s pronouns: she/her. 19-25 yrs. . Mama’s daughter and Walter’s sister; Beneatha is an intellectual; twenty years old, she attends college and is better educated than the rest of the Younger family; some of her personal beliefs and views have distanced her from conservative Mama; she dreams of being a doctor and struggles to determine her identity as a well-educated black woman.
GEORGE MURCHISON – Black. Character’s pronouns: he/him. 29-36 yrs. A wealthy man who courts Beneatha; the Youngers approve of George, but Beneatha dislikes his willingness to submit to white culture and forget his African heritage.
MRS. JOHNSON – Black. 40-60 yrs. Character’s pronouns: she/her. The Youngers’ neighbor; Mrs. Johnson takes advantage of the Youngers’ hospitality and warns them about moving into a predominantly white neighborhood.
BOBO – Black. Character’s pronouns: he/him. 30-40 yrs. One of Walter’s partners in the liquor store plan.
KARL LINDNER – White. Character’s pronouns: he/him. 35-50yrs. From the Clybourne Park Improvement Association; offers the Youngers a deal to reconsider moving into his neighborhood.

ALICE / MADELINE / ERNIE – Selfless. Strong. Ernestine’s mother. / Troubled. Bemused. Beautiful. Erudite. Ernestine and Matt’s daughter. / Ethereal. Vivacious. She doesn’t walk, she glides. Alex’s daughter.
KENNETH – Ernestine’s awkward and annoying next door neighbor.
MATT/WILLIAM – Chiseled jawline. A middle linebacker on the high school football team. Ernestine’s boyfriend then husband. / Thirteen. Grand.
BILLY / JOHN – Sensitive. An ear for music. Ernestine and Matt’s son. / A man woken up in the middle of the night.

SEYMOUR KRELBORN – An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. 25 to 35.

AUDREY – Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. 25 to 35.

MR. MUSHNIK – The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. 55 to 65.

ORIN SCRIVELLO – An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. 30 to 40

THE PLANT (Audrey II) – Puppet. An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour.
VOICE OF THE PLANT – An actor/vocalist, voice of the plant. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' Funky Rhythm and Blues voice.

CRYSTAL, RONNETTE, & CHIFFON – Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon are Black street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality. 20 to 35

Please sign up for ONE 30 minute time slot via THIS form by Friday, May 10th at 12pm EST. Audition Confirmation emails will go out no later than May 12th and in the order submitted. If you miss the deadline, but would still like to be seen, you may show up anytime between 10am and 6pm (lunch 1:30-2:30) and get your name on the list for an audition appointment.
EMC & Non-Union may fill out the audition sign-up form, but are not guaranteed a spot. EMC & Non-union actors may come in person to request an appointment on the day of auditions and will be seen if the schedule allows.
