A family-friendly eco-musical about clean energy, community, and kids with big ideas. Recommended for grades 1-7 and adults! “Curious” is a fun and thought-provoking musical written and performed by Philadelphia's music duo, Ants on a Log. The story centers around two young siblings as they organize their community to fight for clean air. They persevere in the face of their mansplaining Uncle Steve, distracted politicians, and greedy businessmen. With the help of a songful community of characters, a dancing pencil, and the audience, Clio and Taylor learn to stand up for their beliefs, striving to make big change even in the face of some bigger, more powerful people.
While the plot is fictional, the musical is based on actual, recent events in Philadelphia and all over the US. The musical offers children a view into the importance of being active members of a community and realizing their own agency. With clever, catchy, original music, people of all ages will leave feeling hopeful, energized, and singing along.
