Vocal Coach-Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition

To plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Teach vocals to students ages 8-18 for the upcoming production of Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in the program.
• Provide insight and expertise regarding the vocal abilities of candidates during auditions.
• Oversee vocal instruction for a cast of approximately 80 student actors.
• Lead vocalists as conductor during performances on April 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
• Assist the director in creating and implementing a rehearsal schedule from a music perspective.
• Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, etc.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
