Theater Unspeakable and Let’s Make History Productions is seeking a Stage Manager for March of 2023.
Theater Unspeakable is a devised, physical theater company based in Chicago with a proven track record of touring nationally and Let’s Make History Productions is dedicated to producing Theater Unspeakable’s show “The American Revolution” in the Philadelphia area.
The Stage Manager will work in tandem with Marc Frost, the company’s Producing Artistic Director, to oversee the rehearsals and performances of “The American Revolution” as part of a run at the Christ Church Neighborhood House venue as part of Philly Theatre Week 2023. In the run up to week-long run, the Stage Manager will also manage a pop-up performance at the Kimmel Center and a school show in West Chester, PA.
The role will entail:
-attending and managing rehearsals on March 13-16, March 23-26 (daytime eve’s, weekend afternoons)
-attending and running light board for the run of shows from March 28-April 1 at Christ Church Neighborhood House
-attending and managing pop-up performance at Kimmel Center for Philly Theatre Week kick-off event on Monday, March 20th
-attending and managing school performance at a school in West Chester, PA on Monday, March 27th
-attending and managing technical rehearsal/load-in on Monday, March 27 and Tuesday, March 28th
-handling all Stage Manager-related business for the show including communicating with the actors, director and producer
Requirements:
-Stage Management experience
-Light board operator experience
This is a Contract position. The pay will be $2000.
The position starts immediately and work will end on April 1, 2023.
The person should be based in the Philadelphia area.
