Title: Production General Manager
Salary: $56,000 - $62,500 annually
Timeline: This is a full time position starting on/about June 12, 2023

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Production General Manager is responsible for the operations of the mainstage production and production facilities at Delaware Theatre Company including, but not limited to:

  • Create, maintain, track and report on all production budgets throughout the season to Executive Artistic Director
  • Create and maintain production and facilities calendar
  • Hire production staff including overhire, assistants, electricians, carpenters, interns and volunteers.
  • Supervise staff production staff
  • Run all production meetings and distribute notes in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate with all production department heads to schedule completion dates for all production elements and ensure that all of those dates are met.
  • In coordination with the Production Department heads, develop costs and budgets for all production elements and insure compliance with budgets.
  • In coordination with the Executive and Artistic Director, ensure the overall quality of each production.
  • Facilitate all communications between internal and external production stakeholders.
  • Advise on all production related purchases and advances
  • Perform Production Management duties for Delaware Young Playwrights Festival.
  • Collaborate with the Artistic Associate/Company Manager on contracting of guest artists (designers, directors, actors, etc.)
  • Serve as the Facility Safety Officer (FSO) to maintain safety standards in all areas of the theatre and shop spaces, including meeting fire and building code requirements.
  • Oversee facilities management, including supervision of vendors, contractors, etc.
  • Assist with other programs and events or special needs of the DTC as directed by the Executive and Artistic Director
  • Attend production meetings, tech, and performances for education programs as necessary including but not limited to DYPF, Totally Awesome Players I and II, and Summer on Stage.
  • Other duties, activities, and projects as assigned by the Executive and Artistic Director.
